lab results and other good news

Just got a call from the vet-- the lab results are back. I should have written down what he said but didn't. Sigh. It's a histo-something sarcoma, typically found in the joints, not usually in cats of her age. They didn't see any evidence that it had spread, and it apparently doesn't usually spread, but if it does it's to nearby lymph nodes. He says we'll know in about six months whether or not it has spread.

Mother just called and said they got the flowers I sent. I specifically selected a bouquet that had yellow, white, pink and purple because of the color of Mother's room-- what they got was red and white. Mother says it looks pretty, though, which is all I really care about.

In even better news, they are moving the man in the room with Daddy back home, and Mother is moving into the room with Daddy either tomorrow or Friday. Yay!

I am not planning to go to Ky this weekend. I just can't do it. I'm too fried, the migraines have been too bad, and Molly is too weak. If Danny can't go, that's his problem and it doesn't necessarily devolve to me to fix it. Mother and Daddy are well cared for and it's not like there is something they really need done that isn't happening. Mother did also mention that they've been getting lots of visits from the various ministers of their church. She was highly amused-- after a previous illness, none of the ministers had visited or even called, so when she wrote the traditional thank you note for the bulletin, she thanked their friends who had been so helpful and kind, and didn't mention the ministers. She thinks that's why they're being so good this time. I think it may also have to do with their friend Ann, who called one of the ministers and TOLD him to visit. Once they're on the radar, it's all good. WhatEVAR.

Anyway, I'm feeling much more relaxed after making that decision. Whew.
